Answers

  1. Why do I have to change the batteries in my smoke detector when it hasn't gone off?Top

The smoke detector is monitoring your house all the time and this will drain the battery.

It is recommended that you change the batteries in your smoke detectors when you change your clocks, in the spring and fall of each year, for Standard Time and Daylight Savings Time.
